Everything You Need to Know Before Your Appointment
At Nia Soule Salon & Spa, we believe every guest deserves a smooth, elevated, and beautifully organized experience from the moment you book to the moment you leave our salon. Below are answers to our most frequently asked questions to help you prepare with confidence.
How do I book my appointment?
We offer convenient 24/7 online booking through our website, allowing you to reserve your appointment at any time.
Guests may also book by text message or call the salon during business hours for assistance from a Guest Experience Agent.
For the smoothest booking experience, we recommend booking online first, then contacting your preferred location if you need additional support.
How should I prepare my hair before my braid appointment?
To help us give you the best results, please arrive with your hair:
- Shampooed and conditioned
- Fully blow-dried
- Properly stretched and sectioned
- Prepared within 24–48 hours before your appointment
Natural oils are acceptable, but please avoid heavy products, gels, edge control, grease, or buildup.
If you prefer for us to cleanse, condition, detangle, and blow-dry your hair, we are happy to provide that service for an additional fee.
Do you offer shampoo, detangling, and blow-dry services?
Yes. We offer shampoo, conditioning, detangling, and blow-dry services for an additional fee.
If your hair needs extra detangling, extra time may be required, and an additional service fee may apply.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept:
- Zelle
- Major credit cards
- Debit cards
- Braid Cycle Pay
- Select pay-later options when available through our booking platform
Please note that processing or convenience fees may apply depending on the payment method selected.
Do you require a deposit to secure an appointment?
Yes. All appointments require a 50% deposit at the time of booking to secure your appointment.
Your deposit is applied toward your service total.
Deposits are non-refundable, but may be transferred one time to a future appointment or to another guest, such as a sister, daughter, or friend, if you are unable to keep your original appointment.
Do you charge a cancellation or no-show fee?
Yes. Because our appointments are reserved especially for each guest, we do have cancellation and no-show policies.
No-show appointments are charged a 50% no-show fee.
Late cancellations are also charged a 50% cancellation fee.
We kindly ask all guests to manage their appointments in advance so we can continue providing excellent service and availability to all clients.
How do I cancel my appointment?
Please log into your Fresha profile to cancel your appointment at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time.
You may also call the salon during business hours for assistance with cancellation.
Can I cancel my appointment by text message?
At this time, we do not accept cancellations by text message.
To properly cancel your appointment, please use your Fresha profile or call the salon directly during business hours.
Do you charge a convenience fee?
Yes. A convenience fee applies to certain payment methods.
Credit and debit card payments through Fresha include a 3% processing fee.
Klarna payments include a 5.99% fee, which is already added to the service when that payment method is selected.
Do you offer consultations before appointments are booked?
Yes. We offer consultations and strongly recommend them for guests who are unsure about the best service, braid size, hair condition, hair goals, or timing.
Consultations may be booked online.
The consultation fee may be applied toward your service when you book an appointment. Consultation fees are non-refundable if an appointment is not booked.
Do you provide hypoallergenic or anti-itch braiding hair?
Yes. We offer pre-treated, pre-rinsed, anti-itch braiding hair for an additional cost.
This is a great option for guests who have sensitive scalps or prefer a more comfortable braid experience.
How far in advance should I book my appointment?
Appointments may be booked 48 hours to one month in advance, depending on availability.
For weekends, holidays, prom season, graduation season, and high-demand braid styles, we recommend booking as early as possible.
When does the booking calendar open?
Our booking calendar for the new month opens on the 15th day of each month. For best availability, we recommend booking soon after the calendar opens.
I am trying to book online, but I don’t see availability for the day I want. What should I do?
If your preferred day or time is not showing online, please call your preferred salon location for further assistance.
A Guest Experience Agent may be able to help you explore available options, cancellations, stylist availability, or nearby dates.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Nia Soule Salon & Spa is primarily appointment-based.
Walk-ins are welcome only if we are able to accommodate them on the schedule that day. To guarantee service, we strongly recommend booking in advance.
Can I request a particular stylist?
Yes. You may request a specific stylist based on availability.
Please note that stylist requests are honored when possible, but availability may vary depending on schedule, service type, and appointment length.

Yes. We offer business coaching and consultation for beauty professionals, salon owners, and entrepreneurs who desire guidance in building, improving, or scaling their beauty business.
Appointments for business coaching and consultation may be booked online or requested through our website.
How do I maintain my hairstyle at home?
To keep your braids, twists, or protective style looking beautiful for as long as possible, we recommend the following:
Sleep with your hair covered using a silk or satin bonnet or scarf.
Avoid pulling braids or twists into tight ponytails, especially around the edges.
For box braids and kinky twists, you may cleanse the scalp approximately once every three weeks.
In between washes, a Sea Breeze or witch hazel scalp cleanse may help refresh the scalp.
Most braid and twist styles last between 4–8 weeks, depending on the style, hair type, lifestyle, and home care.
Cornrows and tree braids generally last about 3–5 weeks.
A touch-up around the edges is recommended around the fourth week to refresh the style and give the hairline a rest.
How long do braid styles usually last?
Most braid and twist styles last between 4–8 weeks with proper care.
Cornrows, tree braids, and other scalp-based styles typically last 3–5 weeks.
Your stylist can advise you on the best maintenance schedule based on your hair, scalp, and selected style.
